What do I need to know about using Sainsbury’s handsets to be a Home Delivery Driver?

Last updated on 03 December 2024

To be successful in your role as a Sainsbury’s Home Delivery Driver, you’ll need to familiarise yourself with (or give yourself a quick recap on) using the relevant tech, including driver handsets.

There’s a full guide at the bottom of this FAQ, but the main things you need to know, in relation to the handsets, are:

1. What each of the various screens do: home screen, loading screen, orders screen and so on
2. How to use ‘Challenge 25’ if a customer has ordered certain age-restricted items
3. How to deal with any customer returns
4. What to do in the case of a failed delivery or a declined card
5. How to use the handset navigation to get to each delivery
6. How to message a customer if, for example, you’re running late
7. What to do once all deliveries are complete
8. What to do when you’re back at the store
