Events Team Leader - Newport

Pay: £15.05 per hour (inclusive of £1.62 holiday pay)

We're seeking experienced Hospitality Team Leaders to join our team for event check-in shifts in Newport. This role is ideal for individuals with leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a busy, high-profile setting.

As a Hospitality Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supervising the event check-in at the venue, ensuring staff are checked in efficiently and ready for their shifts.
• Managing staff arrivals, verifying attendance and ensuring all team members are allocated and accounted for.
• Checking uniform standards and ensuring all staff meet the venue’s presentation and dress code requirements.
• Acting as the first point of contact for staff queries, providing clear guidance and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Supporting staff with shift-related information, role allocations and any last-minute changes to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintaining accurate attendance records and communicating any lateness, absences or staffing concerns.
• Leading by example, maintaining a positive and approachable attitude while upholding high standards of professionalism.
• Remaining organised and calm under pressure, particularly during busy check-in periods and large-scale events.
• Liaising with event management and operational teams to ensure effective communication and a smooth start to each shift.
