How do I leave Indeed Flex and get my P45?

Last updated on 29 January 2024

We’re sorry to see you go, but we understand and wish you all the best with your next venture. So, what next? Well, you’ll need to get your P45.

What is a P45?

A P45 is a document issued to you by Indeed Flex (or whoever is your most recent employer) once we’ve completely removed you from our payroll. It’ll show all of your earnings and deductions, from the beginning of the tax year (April) to the point at which you’ve left us.

Why is it an important document to have?

Your P45 provides any new employer with details of how much taxable salary you've paid over the course of the current tax year, along with how much has been deducted, and your tax code at the time of leaving your last job. Without your P45, your new employer won't be able to put you on the right tax code, which means you could end up paying more tax or be put on an emergency tax code.

How can I request my P45?

You can request your P45 from Indeed Flex simply by clicking here or:
  1. Go to Profile > My Settings > Account Settings > Leave Indeed Flex
  2. Click on ‘Leave Indeed Flex’, at the bottom of the screen, and this will start the process through which you’ll be able to get your P45.
Can’t find it? - Please update to the latest version of the app to access this feature

How long will it take to get my P45?

This depends on a couple of things. If you have outstanding shifts on the app and wish to complete them, you’ll have to wait a little longer to get your P45. Alternatively, you can simply cancel those shifts. If you have pending payments from Indeed Flex, you’ll have to wait until these go through before your P45 is processed. In general though, you should expect to receive your P45 within 10-14 working days of making your request. It will appear on your Paycircle account, under ‘Documents’.

Can I return to Indeed Flex?

If you simply want to leave Indeed Flex temporarily and not be issued with a P45, you can either:
  1. Manage your notifications from Profile > My Settings > Notification Settings
  2. Uninstall the app, which will allow you to reinstall it and return to us at any time.

And if I do request a P45?

Then you’ll need to sign an acknowledgement that you understand that once you complete this process you’ll no longer be an Indeed Flex worker. You can, of course, return, using your old account, but you’ll need to complete an induction and go through the onboarding process again.
