I’ve learnt things as a Replenishment Assistant, about stores and products: now I do my shopping differently. I know how to arrange my shopping and how to put together my shopping list. For instance, for many products close to the expiration date, stores simply put a lower price on them. This is something I didn’t know before.

At Sainsbury’s the managers are friendly and I’ve built a good rapport with them – they let me know what shifts are coming up and they look after me in general. Overall, the work is pretty flexible: I only want to do 15 hrs a week and it suits me. Normally I do 8 hours on Saturday and 8 on Sunday, but sometimes I do 8 hours during the week, in the evening, and then one on the weekend.
