The National Minimum Wage increases on 1st April 2022, raising the hourly rate for people aged 23 years and over to £9.50 (an increase of 6.6% from 2021/22). As such, this increase will not affect any roles with a base rate higher than the new minimum wage.

Calculations for Holiday Pay remain at 12.07% of your hourly rate. There has been no change made to this calculation from 2021/22.

However, as of 6th April 2022, National Insurance contributions have risen by 1.25%, therefore is likely to be responsible for any changes you see on your payslip.
