Describe the environment at Indeed Flex in three words

Can you tell us a little bit more about your day-to-day role?
My role is to identify and secure new clients for Indeed Flex. This includes conducting sales meetings and platform demonstrations for new and existing prospects, to build long-term partnerships and generate revenue.
The acquisition of new clients and their spend directly feeds into the company’s growth. I often feel a great sense of accomplishment within my role when clients are happy with the service myself and the wider team have provided them with. This leads to long-term working relationships, a strong business reputation, and referrals to other businesses, which is the icing on the cake!
As a line manager, I am passionate about mentoring and coaching members of my team, to support their professional growth.
What is the favorite part of your typical workday?
Pitching Indeed Flex to new prospects who have never heard of us before. It’s always super rewarding when you book a new business meeting with a prospect that, without your call, would never have known about Indeed Flex.
What are some unique or interesting aspects of your role that potential candidates might not expect?
Some unique aspects of the role that might not be obvious to new candidates is the amount of prospects who do not know the difference between Indeed and Indeed Flex.
Most people have heard of Indeed, so one might assume they know what Indeed Flex is, but that’s not always the case. However, this presents an amazing opportunity to educate and introduce more and more businesses to Indeed Flex.
Can you share some examples of how our company culture is reflected in your daily work?
Indeed Flex has a unique company culture whereby everyone gets stuck in to support one another, no matter the task. Teams are collaborative and will ask for support from other cross-functional teams and even our CEO! This demonstrates one of our Guiding Principles: One Team Strengthened by our Uniqueness, which you can feel throughout the company each and every day.
What are some things you enjoy about the working environment?
I enjoy coming into the office, whether that’s the London office or our regional offices, and working with colleagues in person. You then get to work with different departments in an office environment which you may not necessarily cross paths with virtually.
All offices are equipped with snacks and refreshments no matter where you’re based!
What are some Indeed Flex perks or benefits that you find particularly valuable?
There are so many perks that Indeed Flex offers, so it’s truly hard to choose! However, if I had to pick one I would say Vitality healthcare, as it gives peace of mind knowing that if you need to speak to a GP, you can generally do so within less than 24 hours. You can also have family members added to your plan (for a fee), which I think is totally worth it!
Does your role offer opportunities to learn and grow professionally?
Yes, the revenue function offers plenty of scope for progression, which I have experienced firsthand over the past 5 years. I joined the company in 2019, as a Business Development Manager, and progressed to Senior Business Development Manager within 2 years. I then took a path into Leadership where I was a Team Lead, Sales Manager and a Regional Revenue Manager, Wales. In recent months, I have adopted a National Sales position to strengthen the businesses’ revenue position in order to hit our growth goals by 2030 and am super excited to directly contribute towards them once again!
What advice would you give to someone considering this role/team?
I would advise anyone considering this role to go for it! If you are someone with persistence, grit, determination and are willing to give 100% every day, then this is the role for you. We are a tech-heavy business, so being used to or having the capacity to use multiple systems is a must for this role.
